Ingredients
- Simple sugar syrup, for garnish
- Semisweet chocolate shavings, for garnish
- 1 cup (280 g) crushed ice
- 1 1/2 ounces (45 ml) cold espresso or strong coffee
- 1/2 ounce (15 ml) vanilla-flavored syrup
- 1 1/2 ounces (45 ml) premium vodka
- 1 ounce (30 ml) half-and–half
- Dip the rim of a martini glass into a small, flat dish of simple sugar syrup.
- Then dip the rim into a plate of chocolate shavings, coating well. Now you have a chocolate-rimmed glass. Chill.
- Fill a martini shaker with the ice.
- Add the espresso, syrup, vodka, and half-and-half to the shaker, and shake vigorously for 15 seconds.
- Strain into the chilled, chocolate-rimmed martini glass.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings.
