Ingredients

  • 1 ounce (30 ml) raspberry-flavored syrup or raspberry-flavored vodka
  • 1/2 ounce (15 ml) chocolate syrup, or dark crème de cacao liqueur
  • 1 1/2 ounces (45 ml) cold espresso or strong coffee
  • 8 ice cubes
  • 1/2 ounce (15 ml) half-and-half or white crème de cacao liqueur
  • 1 chocolate kiss, for garnish (optional)
  • 3 coffee beans, for garnish (optional)

  • Method

    1. Shake the syrups, espresso, and ice in a cocktail shaker.
    2. Allow to stand for 5 minutes.
    3. Shake vigorously for 5 more seconds.
    4. Strain into a martini glass.
    5. Top the center of the drink with the half-and-half for a “macchiato” presentation!
    6. Garnish with the chocolate kiss or the coffee beans.
