Ingredients
- 1 1/2 tablespoons (22 ml) chocolate syrup or crème de cacao liqueur
- 1 1/2 tablespoons (22 ml) sambuca
- 2 ounces (22 ml) hot, fresh espresso or strong coffee
- Whipped cream, for garnish
- 1 maraschino cherry, for garnish
- Pour the syrup and the sambuca into a mug.
- Add the espresso.
- Top with a dollop of whipped cream and the cherry.
- Serve immediately.
- Omit the sambuca if you prefer a nonalcoholic beverage.
- Good communication is as stimulating as black coffee, and just as hard to sleep after.
