Ingredients

  • 2–4 ounces (60–113 ml) cold espresso or strong coffee
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) chocolate syrup or crème de cacao liqueur
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) cherry- or raspberry-flavored syrup, or kirsch
  • 2 (2-ounce [56 g]) scoops vanilla or coffee ice cream
  • Whipped cream, for garnish
  • Crème de menthe syrup or liqueur, for garnish
  • Milk chocolate curls or sprinkles, for garnish
  • 1 maraschino cherry, for garnish

  • Method

    1. Pour the espresso into a chilled tall 12–ounce (340 ml) glass or milkshake server.
    2. Add the syrups and ice cream.
    3. Top with a generous dollop of whipped cream.
    4. Drizzle crème de menthe syrup on top of the whipped cream.
    5. Garnish with chocolate curls and a cherry.
