Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces (45 ml) premium vodka
  • 1 1/2 ounces (45 ml) coffee-flavored liqueur
  • 6 cream-layered coffee ice cubes
  • 1 1/2 ounces (45 ml) cold espresso or strong coffee
  • 3 ounces (90 ml) light cream or half-and-half

  • Method

    1. Mix the vodka and coffee-flavored liqueur in a cocktail shaker with the ice cubes and shake for about 15 seconds.
    2. Pour into a chilled martini glass.
    3. Pour the cold espresso on top and float the cream to fill the rest of the martini glass.
    4. The heavier cream will migrate down through the liquor and mingle with the creamlayered coffee ice cubes.
    5. Stir once and serve immediately.

      1. A White Russian is a sweet cocktail made with cream, coffee-flavored liqueur, and vodka traditionally served on the rocks. It earns its “Russian” name from the vodka, but this drink is not known in Russia at all!
