This one’s a keeper! Here is a traditional European recipe I learned from Tante Maria.

Ingredients
- 2 cups (500 ml) chilled whipping cream (35 percent milk fat)
- 3 tablespoons (43 g) vanilla sugar, or purchase commercially prepared
- Whip the cream with an electric mixer on medium speed until soft peaks form.
- Add the vanilla sugar, 1 tablespoon (14 g) at a time.
- Do not overbeat.
- Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 4 hours before serving.
