Ingredients
- Lime wedges
- 2 teaspoons (6 g) sugar
- 8–10 mint leaves
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) lime juice
- 8 ice cubes
- 1 1/2 ounces white rum
- 2 ounces (60 ml) cold espresso or strong coffee
- Club soda
- Moisten the rim of a chilled tall clear glass with a wedge of lime and dip the wet rim into a small flat dish of sugar. Rotate gently to evenly coat the glass rim.
- Place the fresh mint leaves and lime juice in the sugar left on the dish. Lightly crush the mint leaves with the back of a spoon, and place the entire mint mixture in the prepared glass.
- Place the ice cubes in the glass and add the white rum and espresso.
- Fill the rest of the glass with club soda and stir well. Garnish with a lime wedge or sprigs of mint.
