Ingredients
- 4 ounces (113 ml) milk
- 2 ounces (60 ml) hot, fresh espresso or strong coffee
- 1/2 ounce (15 ml) cognac
- 1/2 ounce (15 ml) orange-flavored syrup or orange cream liqueur
- Froth the milk until it is doubled in volume, steamed, and foamy.
- Pour the espresso into a cappuccino mug.
- Pour in the steamed milk, then dollop the foamed milk over the espresso in the mug.
- Add the cognac and orange syrup, and stir gently.
- Serve immediately.
- Irish cream syrup may replace the cognac, for a nonalcoholic recipe.
