Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces (45 ml) chocolate syrup, or crème de cacao liqueur
  • 1 1/2 ounces (45 ml) raspberry-flavored syrup or kirsch liqueur
  • 2 ounces (60 ml) hot, fresh espresso or strong coffee
  • 4–6 ounces (113–170 ml) steamed milk
  • Whipped cream, for garnish

  • Method

    1. Pour the chocolate syrup and the 1 1/2 ounces (45 ml) raspberry syrup into a 12–ounce (340 ml) latte mug or cup.
    2. Add the espresso.
    3. Fill the rest of the way with the steamed milk.
    4. Stir once around, lifting up the syrups from the bottom of the mug.
    5. Top with whipped cream.

    6. Variation

      1. Drizzle the 1/2 teaspoon (2 ml) raspberry syrup on top of the whipped cream, and sprinkle with chocolate curls. Place the cherry on top.
