Ingredients
- A handful of hazelnuts, toasted, crushed
- Ice cubes
- Dash of white sugar
- ¼ cup of vodka
- ¼ cup of coffee liquor
- ¼ cup of espresso coffee
- 1 heaping teaspoon of castor sugar
- 2 scoops of hazelnut gelato (ice cream)
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Meanwhile using the oven’s tray, place the handful of hazelnut and toast for a few minutes until its fragrant; rub the excess grease using a tea towel and then remove the skin.
- Using a frying pan, heat the toasted hazelnuts and add a dash white sugar; mix to caramelize and coat the nuts.
- Transfer caramelized hazelnuts to a tray lined with parchment paper and then chop coarsely.
- Using a cocktail shaker, pour coffee liquor, vodka, espresso, and ice cubes then give it a good shake.
- Using a coffee cup, scoop the hazelnut gelato, pour the espresso martini mixture, and then sprinkle the caramelized hazelnut on top.
- Serve immediately.
