Ingredients
- 2/3 cup (170 ml) freshly ground coffee
- 2 cups (250 ml) boiling water
- 2 cups (250 ml) milk
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- Sugar, to pass around with the coffee
- Place the grounds in a French press coffeemaker.
- Add the boiling water.
- Allow the coffee to steep for about 5 minutes, or until the grounds settle to the bottom of the press.
- Press down on the grounds to strain them from the liquid.
- Place the milk in a heavy medium-size saucepan and add the cinnamon sticks. Bring the milk to a boil, stirring occasionally.
- Remove the cinnamon sticks with a slotted spoon, and set them aside for serving.
- Add the coffee to the milk, stir, and divide evenly among four cups.
- Add a cinnamon stick to each cup and pass around sugar to add according to individual taste.
