Ingredients

  • 1 cup of strong brewed coffee
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 3 egg yolks – free range
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of sugar

  • Method

    1. Grab out your heavy bottomed saucepan.
    2. In a heavy bottomed saucepan, add coffee and cream and scald.
    3. Use an electric mixer.
    4. In a bowl, beat sugar and egg yolks together.
    5. Slowly add in the coffee mix and keep mixing.
    6. Pour it back into the pan and watch while it thickens up.
    7. Mix in vanilla.
    8. Cool down and store until needed.
