Ingredients



    Maple Pecan Syrup:

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup pecan butter
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoons salt

  • Latte:

  • 1 shot espresso
  • 2 tablespoons maple pecan syrup
  • ½ cup steamed milk
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Chopped toasted pecans for garnish

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients for syrup in a saucepan except for heavy cream and vanilla.
  2. Cook over medium heat while stirring for 2 minutes or until sugar dissolves.
  3. Turn heat off and whisk in heavy cream and vanilla. Set aside to cool completely.
  4. In a mug, combine espresso and 2 tablespoons of maple pecan syrup. Mix well and reserve remaining syrup for other lattes.
  5. Pour in steamed milk and top with whipped cream.
  6. Garnish with pecans and serve.
